It has taken me a while to be able to write this blog but I feel I owe it to my sweet angel dog Mia and to all those who love their pets.

My sweet little wag went to doggie heaven recently. She was getting up in age (13) and I knew that unfortunately this day would come. I thought I would be able to handle it and have been kind of prepared for her passing because she had been dealing with a heart murmur for years. She was absolutely so loving and very sensitive to my needs. When I cry she would come and give me washey’s (that was my husbands word for licks). Chasing squirrels and keeping the family in order was her job. I look for her everyday and then realize the inevitable. To even begin to think that I was prepared is definitely not what has happened. The one thing that I have that is helping me along during this difficult time are the pictures I have of her. Memories that will not be forgotten by capturing that moment in time of her sweet little face. Being a photographer I know how important it is to capture and print those moments especially with people you know and love, but I don’t think I realized how important it is for your pets til now.

So get out there and take pictures of your fur babies! They love and cherish you and are a gift from above!
